Camogie Parish League
Last Saturday the Under 6, Under 8 and Under 10 camogie teams held a hugely successful parish league in the main pitch where a total of 43 young ladies showcased the skills of camogie in a series of mixed games.  Played in beautiful weather it was great to see how all the different groups have progressed and developed their camogie skills through the season,  the girls pleading to play “just a minute longer” at the final whistle is a testament to their enjoyment of the games and indeed to the coaches who organised the event.
Many thanks to all the girls who turned out, to the group coaches who ran the event and to all the parents and supporters who who turned up the cheer the girls on.
U10 Football
On Saturday the 29th of Septembere, 2018 our u10 girls played Glanmire in the A league final in killeagh. This was a big occasion for our young girls topping off what been a fantastic year with so many memorable games.

The game started at a fast pace with Glanmire settling the better of the 2 teams but our backline was again standing strong as a unit keeping Glanmire at bay on a few occasions.
The first half ended with Rovers trailing by 4 points.
The 2nd half was a different story, Rovers began to get to grips with the opposition and started to tack on some fine scores with some goal chances going a begging. In the end Rovers just could not bridge the gap from the 1st half and Glanmire ran out winners on a scoreline of
Bride Rovers 0.4
Glanmire 3- 1
Well done to Glanmire on the win.
Rovers girls can hold their heads up high with the effort put in on the day and are looking forward to next year already.
