Croke Park information on Level 2 Coaching Programme
The first Level 2 LGFA Coaching programme will take place in the coming weeks over two weekends in NUI Maynooth, Kildare and I would appreciate if you can forward this to all your clubs to in turn send to their ladies gaelic coaches please.
The Level 2 coaching programme brings the focus back onto the sport itself and helping to equip coaches with the tools to allow them to develop the game of Ladies Gaelic football.
The programme specifically focuses on helping coaches to identify patterns of play and gives coaches an understanding as to what is required by the players prior to adopting these new tactics. The course also helps coaches to identify the skills and qualities required by each individual player to institute the new plays and how best to identify the players most suitable to fulfil the required roles. It also enables courses to tailor the training specific to the needs of their teams.
The Level 2 programme will not only help coaches see how patterns of play are selected, but also the requirements of identifying the skills needed for those patterns and how best to coach them to fulfil these roles. It is an extremely practical course.
If interested please ensure you meet the criteria outlined below and in the attached application form, complete same along with full payment and return by closing date outlined.
Please note, for quality purposes only 16 places are available on the course at any one time. Therefore, confirmation of your place will not be secured until all applications have being submitted after the closing date and then will be subject to screening by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association.
