U14A
U14A played Aghada Monday last in rostellen, fantastic football in very wet conditions, Glanmire came out on top.Well done all
U16A
u16a East Cork football league match between Inch Rovers and Glanmire was played in very windy but dry conditions on Thursday last in Killeagh. The strength of the wind made it difficult for both sets of players. We were playing into the wind in the first half and didn’t play well, but managed to score 3 good goals and a point. Inch used the wind well, and were very effective in front of goal. The score was 5-7 to 3-1 at half time. In the second half, we played better football – retaining possession, and taking some good points from play. We eventually levelled the scores with a few minutes to play, and managed to get the final point of the match for a hard fought, narrow victory – the final score was 5-8 to 5-9.
U21
U21’s played quarter final of the u21 A championship away to mourneabbey Monday last. They emerged convincing winners with a significant score line. Absolutely amazing team performance in horrible wet conditions and some of the football played was second to none. Girls progressed to the semi finals.
Easter camp
Glanmire Ladies Football Club had a fantastic two day camp during the Easter break .Weather was certainly on our side and it really added to the atmosphere. Girls and Boys from 6-13 years really enjoyed the activities, and Even the Easter bunny got in on the camp action with every child and Coach taking home some chocolate eggs.
On behalf of the Club we would like to thank the following for helping out, some of our U16 players, our Senior players, our many coaches and committee members, Glanmire boys club for allowing us use their facilities and to the many boys and girls who shared their happiness with us and finally to our Head coach Geraldine O Flynn who was superb from start to finish.
