Carrigtwohill Camogie Club are proud to be hosting semi-finals and Finals in the Dominic Rooney Memorial Tournament this Sunday 15th October in Carrigtwohill GAA Pitch.

They are hoping that this will become an Annual Event and will grow year-on-year for their Club and  are honoured that we will have Dominic’s wife Margaret and sons  on the day to help present the Cup to the winners.

Semi-final throw in is at 11.00am and teams involved will be

  • Carrigtwohill v  Dungourney
  • Castlelyons v Aghada

Final and 3rd/4th Play off will begin at 12.30pm.

Dominic Rooney will forever be in our hearts and it is testament to this that there has been such a massive band of people ready to help out on the day at short notice.

Special thanks to all his refereeing friends for coming together to help out on the day with particular thanks to PJ Ahern for organising this behind the scenes. Also a word of thanks to Johnny O’Connell who has been in regular contact offering help in any way he can.

This is an open invitation to anyone who wishes to come down to cheer the girls on, to have a cuppa and exchange stories about Domo. We will do our very best to have it a fitting tribute to a great Man, Husband, Father, Friend, Club Man, and Referee.
