Match Report by James Maunsell

Inch ladies minor were out today for an east cork final versus Midleton. The game in Killeagh was played in fabulous sunshine albeit a little cold.
Midleton started really brightly and put up the first score a point from a free. Inch responded with goals from Orla Rachel and rose. Niamh and Kelly kicked some fine points. Rose kicked points with her left and right leg. Middleton regrouped and scored a fine goal of their own. Shannon took to the field and just before halftime got a great goal to settle the nerves again. We lead 4.07 to 1.01 at halftime. We made a few changes at halftime, Donna and the free scoring Niamh o Brien to the 2 corner forwards positions.
Midleton came out with all guns blazing and hit us for a few quick goals .
However we regained our composure with Kelly and Niamh hitting fine scores.
We just couldn’t put Midleton away and they ran in another late goal to leave us leading by 5.
A well taken point from Donna eased the pressure.
When niall Barrett blew the whistle on a pulsating game victory was ours on a score line 5.12 to 5.02.
A hard earned 7 point win. A big thank you
to Midleton for a great game.
