Championship semi final weekend

U 12 A
In the U 12 “A” East Cork Semi final. County “B” champions Fermoy overcame County “C” Champions Aghada to set up a meeting with County “A” champions Youghal This was the best U 12 game this year so far with both sides playing brilliant football. Fermoy scored the winning point well into injury time and will now host Youghal in Fermoy

U 12 B
U 12 B Cobh and Bride Roves must meet in the semi final with Inch Rovers waiting in the final

U 12 C
U 12 C Erin’s Own beat Youghal B in the semi final and are awaiting the winners of Watergrasshill and Carrigtwohill and this game is on this evening Tuesday

U 12 D

U 12 D Delany’s had a great win over Rockbán B in one semi final and they will now play Cloyne in the final This is as far as I am aware Delany’s first East Cork championship final

U 14 A
In the U 14 “A” semi finals Inch Rovers defeated Glanmire and Aghada overcame Youghal in the second semi final. Killeagh will be the venue for this final.

U 14 B
In the U 14 B championship Rockbán defeated Erin’s Own to set up a meeting with Fermoy A in the final

U 14 C
Watergrasshill got the Better of near neighbours Bride Rovers in the C championship and Cobh defeated Fermoy B in the other semi final

U 14 D
In the U 14 D semi finals Lisgoold scored a much deserved victory over Carrigtwohill and will now play Cloyne in the final

U 8 East Cork Blitz

High Light of the Weekend must be the U 8 East Cork Ladies’ Football Blitz hosted by Glanmire on Saturday. Many thanks to all the teams and especially Glanmire Ladies Football club (See separate report)

County and Munster Championships

Several games were played at Munster and County level

Fermoy had a comprehensive win over Aherlow in the semi final of the Munster senior “B” competition and will now meet Ballymacarbry in the final.

Aghada advanced to the Junior “B” county final with a comprehensive win over Gabriel Rangers in Ballincollig on Sunday they now meet Dohenys in the final (3pm) which will be the Curtin raiser to the senior county final between St Val’s and Mourneabbey (5pm) in CIT on Sunday next.
Bride Rovers B will play st Peters also in CIT on Sunday in the final of Division 4 C league final at 1 pm

Minor County Championship quarter finals 

Glanmire had a comfortable win over Douglas in the “A” sectionBride Rovers put up a great performance but narrowly lost out to Carrigaline in the “B” competition Aghada take on Bandon in Rostellan on Tuesday night

Both East Cork representatives Erin’s Own and Watergrasshill made their exit from the Minor C competition
There are still a number of quarter finals to be played later in the week

U 15 Development East Cork played West Cork in the last divisional game with the West Cork Ladies coming out on top The development will not train this week but players will be notified in due course with the inter county blitz due to take place in Mallow on w/e November 5/6th
