On Monday evening, the u14 camogie team played near neighbours, Castlelyons, in the championship. Despite Bride Rovers’ best efforts, they were unable to compete against the very strong opposition and Castlelyons were the clear winners by a decisive margin. Fair play to Bride Rovers, they never gave up trying but were just not strong enough to make an impact.
Team: Abby Keating, Alice Murray, Naoise McCarthy, Alanna Broderick, Grace Dorgan, Chloe Murphy, Amy Kennedy, Rebecca Walsh, Shauna Hayes, Ciara O’Flynn , Caoimhe Hazelwood, Niamh O’Sullivan, Caoimhe O’Sullivan, Ella Quinlan, Lily Murray, Mollie O’Connell
Last Friday night the u12 girls played the county semi final against Ballyphehane in Whitechurch.
Bride rovers were very strong team and dominated the game from the start.
Ballyphehane tried to pull back but our girls were ready every time
Well done girls we are now through to the Final, dates and team to be confirmed.
On Sunday we headed off to Croke Park to the Camogie all Ireland finals
Unfortunately Cork were not successful but girls had a great day and everyone enjoyed the day out.
Senior Football Championship
Following our defeat to Inch Rovers in the Senior A Championship we now take part in the Senior B Championship. We play Eire Og in the semi-final tonight (Tuesday) at 8pm in Castlelyons. Best of luck girls in this game.
No joy for Cork Camogie
Cork Camogie lost out to Kilikenny in both the Senior & Intermediate Camogie All-Irelands played in Croke Park on Sunday last.
In the intermediate final, Jennifer Barry lined out at midfield and played very well for Cork, however Cork lost out on the narrowest of margins.
In the Senior final Cork never seemed to get to grips with a hungrier Kilkenny team who had not won an All-Ireland title since 1994. Kilkenny winning on a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-09.
Dates for your Diary

We will be holding a street collection in Rathcormac & Fermoy on the weekend of the 21st & 22nd of October. The following weekend (28th & 29th Oct.) we will be doing a bag pack in Blackpool Shopping Centre. If you are available for any of these fundraisers for an hour or two please let Claire O Flynn (Street Collection) or Shirley Johnson (Bag Pack) know.
Congrats to the organising committee of the Rathcormac Mud Challenge on another successful event on Saturday last. Well done to all our players and members who completed the course with a smile on their faces.
