Four East Cork Teams in U 12 County Finals and Two in U 16 County Finals

Another great weekend for East Cork clubs with four representatives winning U 12 semi finals and will play county finals over next weekend

In the U 12 “A” Youghal advanced with a victory over Glanmire 2-11 to 1-06
Fermoy had a large win over St Val’s in the U 12 “B” semi final 7-10 to 1-01
Aghada reached their 5th U 12 county final in a row when they defeated Courcey Rovers 4-09 to 3-05 in a tight U 12 ”C” semi final played in Ballincollig and Bride Rovers will contest the U 12 “D” final as they easily accounted for Ballyphahane 6-09 to 0-08

Carrigtwohill are down to play two county championship finals next weekend
On Saturday their junior football play Ballinora in Passage at 6 pm
And on Sunday evening their U 16 girls face St Mary’s in the County U 16 “D” Final

Aghada will hope the board will fix both their county finals for the same venue on Saturday when their U 16 girls will take on Kinsale in the U 16 “A” County final and also Aghada U 12 girls will contest the U 12 “C” county final and their opposition will be either Killlavullen or Dounghmore
Fermoy are down to play Beara on this Tuesday night in the senior B semi final

Best Of Luck to all teams representing East Cork in County Finals next Weekend

In the County Junior B Championship Glanmire narrowly lost out to West Cork side Dohenys 2-10 to 1-10 Aghada have to play Gabriel Rangers in the other semi final at this grade


Inter Divisional Matches

Well done to all East Cork Girls who took part for Imokilly in the inter-divisional games over the weekend. On Saturday it was the turn of the U 15 girls who travelled to Mourneabbey and on Sunday the U 13 East Cork girls played North Cork selections in Killeagh GAA grounds Over 80 East Cork girls were on view on Sunday and some super football was played by both sides Thanks to all who turned up on both days and thanks to all the trainers and mentors who have under taken this mighty challenge but it was very evident the interest that is in Ladies’ Football in East Cork with the amount of girls taking part over the weekend Training continues for both squads U 15 in Youghal and U 13 in Mayfield this Wednesday at 6 15pm The U 15 named (White Team ) will play West Cork next weekend .

Cork Senior Team Open Night

Cork Ladies football will hold their Media and open training night in Carrigaline GAA grounds on Friday night next starting at 7 pm. This will be the last oppertunity to meet all the Cork Ladies Football senior stars before their All Ireland appearance on Sunday week so please make every effort to come out and support the Cork senior team
