East Cork Ladies’ Football Féile Péil Na nÓg

The East Cork section of the Ladies’ Football Féile takes place tomorrow Sunday in Kiely Park (The Pike) Glanmire.
Many thanks to Glanmire Ladies’ Football Club for hosting the event and Glanmire GAA club for the use of their facilities.

For various reasons there are only four teams taking part in tomorrow’s competition but the quality of the four is top drawer.
The Host Club Glanmire who are reigning County Féile champions will probably start slight favourites based solely on their current form and their tremendous record in this competition.
Inch Rovers however are waiting in the long grass as they have four current Cork U 14 girls on their team and will prove very stiff competition for any opposition and really fancy their chances.
Rockbáwn also have a very strong side and again based on current form should be well in the hunt as they have done a lot of work at underage over the last few years and are attracting very large numbers to Ladies Football.
Finally we have Fermoy and this U 14 team is also doing well in the East Cork League and has some outstanding young players who have a great attitude to football and will be not be found wanting and the short games may suit their style of play
So plenty of good football ahead and the very best of luck to all the teams
