U18 East Cork Championship

On Monday evening, Bride Rovers played Lisgoold in the East Cork Minor Final at Delaney’s GAA, a game that was long overdue and carried over from November. Lisgoold got off to a good start in attack but the Rovers’ defence was solid and kept their scores to a minimum. At the other end, a few early and well-struck goals put our ladies well in front at the first water break and Lisgoold were really chasing the game for the remaining forty minutes. Bride Rovers deserved their comprehensive win – their team-play, fielding, scoring and tight defence was excellent from start to finish. Fair play to Lisgoold who never gave up until the final whistle of what was an enjoyable and very sporting game. [Pic: Team Photo and Shauna Hayes Captain]
