The Fermoy senior Ladies played their East Cork Final against Inch on Monday last in Fermoy’s main GAA pitch. It was a fast moving game on both sides. Inch are a great team with some solid players and Fermoy knew they had a tough game ahead. Fermoy took an early lead but Inch scored 2 goals in the first 10 minutes and fermoy had to dig deep to come back and comeback they did. Fermoy have been training hard under the leadership of Ed Burke and John Duffy and all that hard training paid off last Monday as their stamina and hunger to win never failed!! There were a few knocks and maybe some bruising the next day but the win was worth it! This win also put Fermoy into a County Championship Quarter Final. Well done to the ladies captained by Mary O’Sullivan on a great display of football and all who are involved, Tony Twomey, Sean O’Sullivan, Genevieve Fanning and Deirdre O’Dwyer for assisting on the night. Thanks to to great attendance who came to watch and support, please continue to support our Senior team as their journey is not over. Final Score on the night Inch 3-08 Fermoy 2-10.
