U12
East Cork SF vs Aghada
It would take 2 games to decide this East Cork Semi Final and at that Aghada would win by the smallest of margins. Over the two contests the Lisgoold girls gave absolutely everything and more. Nail Biting and End to End are appropriate terms to describe these two games. This U12 team has incredible heart and determination and this was never more evident when they came from behind on a few occasions to draw level. No doubt there will be disappointment at not progressing but this team have a bright future ahead and will have many great days ahead. Well done to Aghada. Full Time Score 3-10 to 3-09 Lisgoold Team; Chloe, Siofra, Rachel C, Rachel B, Lainey, Éabha, Siobhan, Ciara, Carasue, Aine, Julianna, Sarah, Gemma, Sophie, Kate, Lillie, Abbie, Molly, Aimee, Molly C, Lucy, Dahlia.

U16D East Cork Champions
On Saturday 21st of October we travelled to Shanagarry to contest the U16D East Cork Final against St Colmans. Credit must go to both teams for a great display of football despite the very windy conditions. Lisgoold would take advantage of the wind in the first half and work out some beautiful scores. St Colmans worked hard and never gave up but the Lisgoold attack aided by the wind dominated the first half. In the second half St Colmans would have more possession than in the first and score 1-2 with some well worked movement. Lisgoold would not be out done on this occasion and added 1-1 of their own, running out eventual winners on a score line of 2-11 to 1-2. The girls/coaches have been training since January preparing for this moment but in fact this victory is over 4 years in the making. For a few years, we were unable to field at U16 so it is a credit to players/coaches/club for their commitment, dedication and determination to reaching their goal of not only fielding an U16 team but becoming East Cork Champions. Lisgoold Team: Emma W, Kerri, Rhiona, Leann, Sarah, Dara, Julieanne, Ella, Claire, Erin, Emma M (Captain), Clodagh, Laura, Theresa, Kalyssa, Meabh, Rachel, Eilis, Siobhan, Lia.
