The East Cork section of the Ladies’ Football Féile took place in Killeagh GAA grounds on Saturday April 1st . Many thanks to Inch Rovers Ladies’ Football Club for hosting the event and Killeagh GAA club for the use of their facilities.
Once again Glanmire came out on top loosing no game either in the qualifying or knock out rounds all the other teams were very evenly matched with some great and very exciting football being played. Most games there was only a kick of a ball between the teams and could have gone either way. Glanmire and Youghal contested the final and both teams will represent East Cork in the county Féile to be played on the May bank holiday Monday. Fermoy and Inch Rovers contested the plate final with Fermoy edging out the hosts. Well done and thanks to all teams for participating and making it a wonderful day
Thanks to the three referees who helped out on the day, the Inch Rovers ladies and gents in the kitchen who provided tea and refreshments for all and a special word of thanks to Fixture Secretary Paul O’ Sullivan who put the competition together.
