Cork County 13 A Junior B Final: Carrigtwohill 2-9 Ballinora 1-11

The juniors faced a tough battle against Ballinora. From the throw in Carrigtwohill started at a lightening pace and led at the interval on a score line of 2-6 to 0-4. On the resumption of the second half Ballinora outscored Carrigtwohill 1-7 to 0-3 points and as the final minutes were counted down some tremendous defending saw us win on a score line of 2-9 to 1-11

Fé 16 D Cork County Final: Carrigtwohill 3-05 St Mary’s 2-07

For a second night in a row Carrigtwohill set off to another county final. The fé 16 meet a strong St Mary’s team, where great skill and tough physical football game was provided by both teams. At the interval St Mary’s led on a score line of 1-4 to 1-3. Early in the second half St Mary’s scored 1-1 and playing well to leave Carrigtwohill with a mountain to climb. Throughout the year this team has displayed a great resistance and set about reducing the score. Carrigtwohill scored 2-2 without reply, then St Mary’s closed the gap by the narrowest of margins where Carrigtwohill ran out winners on a score line of 3-05 to 2-7

The Carrigtwohill Ladies Football Golf Society Annual outing to Fota Golf club is on Sat 22nd of October. All enquires to Ger Barry and/or Liam O’Riordan.

A directive from Central Council stating that there is an EMBARGO on all CLUB GAMES, CHALLENGE MATCHES AND TRAINING SESSIONS on FRIDAY, 23rd September, SATURDAY, 24th September & SUNDAY, 25th September. The Injury Fund will NOT cover any injuries occurred on these dates. This directive is applicable to all Counties
