Cork Ladies Football Have A Great Night at Carrigaline

Hundreds turned up in Carrigaline on Friday night to watch the All Ireland Senior Ladies Football Champions Cork train. Well done and thanks Robbie, Linda and all in Carrigaline Ladies Football club for hosting the night and making it a very special occasion. The only glitch in proceedings was the lack of car parking spaces and that was probably a good complaint.
Despite the cold, the ice cream was a big hit and every young girl and boy also got a generous goodie bag. On The field Ephie Fitzgerald and James Masters put the girls through their paces with every girl giving their all. It is hard to know how Cork are going but there is one thing sure they will have to be at their best to hold off Dublin who have been knocking at the door for the last two years and are very hungry. The loss of Valerie Mulcahy and Geraldine O Flynn to name just two is huge but there are many others who have waited patiently for their turn so hope fully they will step up to the mark After the training session all the girls spent lots of time posing  for photographs, signing autographs and generally mingling with the large crowd. Thanks to the kitchen staff for a wonderful array of food and savouries which went down a treat So it is off to Croke Park we go on Sunday week and hopefully we will bring home the Brendan Martin Cup once again
