Both teams came into the game with good form and we knew it was going to be a good game as the winner would be going on to a semi-final. Cobh started the better but couldn’t get their scores as our defence worked really hard in forcing them to kick wides. So when we got our first goal of the game it was a lead that Cobh could not close. In what was a very entertaining game Lisgoold/Leamlara finished up winning 3:8 1:6. Hard luck on the night to Cobh who played a great game. We are hosting the Betty McCarthy Perpetual Cup U14 Blitz on Saturday 16th July at 2pm. Teams competing; Lisgoold/Leamlara, Midleton, Fermoy, St Colmans, St Nick’s, Carrigtwohill, Youghal, Cloyne. This is sure to be a great day out and all support and help on the day is appreciated.

Cúl Camp

The Cork LGFA Summer Development Camps will be coached by Cork Senior players and assisted by Cork Minor players. The camp coordinator will be ORLAGH FARMER. She will be assisted by fellow senior players, MARIE AMBROSE, KATE LENEGHAN & SHAUNA CRONIN. Other senior & minor Cork players will be involved with the camps as well.
The camps will be held over 4 days, 10:00am to 2:00pm and they will be open to REGISTERED members, U8 to U16years, of the HOST CLUB and SURROUNDING CLUBS.
Players are asked to bring a packed lunch & water, rain gear and/or sunscreen, whichever is appropriate to the weather conditions.
ALL PLAYERS MUST WEAR THEIR MOUTHGUARDS.
THE COST IS €30:00 PER PLAYER, €50:00 FOR 2 FAMILY MEMBERS & €70:00 FOR 3 FAMILY MEMBERS.
EACH MEMBER WHO PARTICIPATES WITH A SUPERVALU CORK LADIES FOOTBALL JERSEY AT THE END OF THE CAMP.

Congratulations to John Cronin, who made his first start in the Senior Hurling Championship for Cork in an excellent win over Dublin.
Congratulations to Leanne Woods and Caoilinn Hickey who had the opportunity to play senior championship this year with Imokilly. Unfortunately, they were beaten by Fermoy in the EastCork Semi-Final. Imokilly will now play a divisional side from the other divisions with one team going forward to the senior quarter finals
