The u8 matches continue to come along quickly. First up we had a league match away to Na Piarsaigh on Wednesday. Due to various end of school activities we were short some numbers and had 12 girls on the evening. It was a great evening of football with strong performances on the night by Aoife O’Connor, Amy Brickley and Yoliza Magellan. The following week we travelled to Midleton and put on another impressive game of football, standout performances on the night included Ciara calanan and Chloe Cullen in the forward line. Katie Lynch, Ali Nolan and Sally Barry covered every blade of grass on the pitch. While in defence Amy Marah, Sarah Brown and Lia Keyes were fantastic. Strong performances also on the night by Leigh Kelleher and Orna Higgins and Amelia Foong
Well done to all involved and thanks to Midleton for hosting
Glanmire U 10B

Glanmire scored three fine points from play from the boot of Lucy Lynch,Ashling O Brien and Orlaith Walsh ,who also rattled the crossbar, other top performances on the night came from Amy Horgan,Leah Walsh,Abbie Humpreys,Cathy Hyland and Leah Hyland.
Overall it was a great committed performance and the girls are looking forward to our final games over the next few weeks.

Glanmire u 10 A

Glanmire U 14″A”
Last Monday Our u14’s traveled the short distance to carrigtwohill to take on Inch in the county “A” final. A great game of football played by both sides. Taking on inch is no easy task at the best of time, as we well knew losing to this side in the feile back in April, 2 early point for glanmire saw us in a positive position, but with lots of play but hardly no action in the scoring form the two sides ended up level at 1-4 to 0-7 at half time. With such a talented team and a dedicated management team its so easy to see how they grit their teeth and pulled off a win, a win wasn’t so certain early on but non the less on a score line of 4-10 to 2-11 they pulled it off. Even tho this whole Glanmire team are well worth a mention its Stand out performances by the backs Nicole Turpin and Laura O’Sullivan who stood in front of anyone gulling for goal, and on the opposite side of the field it was Nikki Barry and Ava O’Reagan creating goal chances no doubt rattling the inch goalie, all the girls played their hearts out and are delighted to be able to go home champions again this year.
