Our U8s had their first outing of the year with a game at home to Watergrasshill recently and we had 22 girls togged out. We put out two teams. All the girls put in a great effort which was rewarded with two fine team performances their skills and confidence are growing each week. Training continues of Thursdays between 6pm and 7 pm and caters for girls that will be 6,7 or 8 this year and new members are always welcome.

Our u8 girls also had a great morning in Erin’s own, we took on the locals in two games, U-8 & U-7, we had strong performances from both teams with all girls putting in a great effort and showing what a talented group they are. Our next outing is away to Delaney’s on Wednesday the 22nd. It’s obvious all the girls are practicing there skills at home and at training, keep up the good work

Huge Congratulations to Our U-14 Panel and mentors have reached the County A Final v Glanmire Next Monday night 20th June Venue TBC.

Inch Rovers v Bandon u14 A county semi final in Mayfield on Monday last. A very blustery evening did not deny Inch Rovers the win, after losing the toss and having to play into a very strong wind, from the first throw of the ball it was easy to see that neither side were going to shy away, after a hard battle Bandon got the opening point , the first score for Inch came from Ciara Irwin, Nadine Seward also put a point on the board Ciara Steele got the first goal of the game hopefully securing the first half for inch. Bandon put another point on the board but it was not enough to catch up to there opponents. With the second half underway neither teams had lost there determination. Ciara Steele broke through the Bandon defence scoring a point. Bandon started to gather momentum by putting two more points on the board but Nadine Seward rattling the net with another goal from Inch damping Bandon’s spirits and now a 5 point lead. Early in the second half a Inch player was sin binned. Down to 14 players Bandon started to dominate, As Inch defended its goal fiercely Bandon managed to break through the inch defence scoring their first goal , they were now behind just 2 points. Inch gained back their missing player and Elena Kellerher coming out of goals and Sarah Roche replacing her. Inch were not taking anything lying down and powered through the last 5 minutes and injury time, Aine O Driscoll scoring a point and Elena Kellerher scoring the final point of the match. With the final whistle blown Inch came out victorious. The final score being 2-5 to 1-4. Inch will now proceed to play Glanmire in the County final. Inch Rovers team and management would like to thank mayfield GAA for the use of there facilities also AJ Cronin for refering. Finally to thank Bandon for a superb match. The side showed brilliant skill and heart through out the game, We would like to wish them the best with the rest of there season. Amy Roche.

Our u12’s were away against Mayfield in league. We had 19 girls and all very eager to play. Mayfield had only 14 so we played 14 aside. Both teams started off very well. There was some great scores from both sides but we played really well as a team and pushed forward to get great score .
Second half I changed around a good few girls and made sure all got plenty of play time which all girls got to play. We got some more very well worked scores to pull away and win game. Full time score 8 – 3 to 3 – 3. On behalf of management, well done to all girls tonight , ye are all really coming on and showing huge potential. Keep it up and keep coming training.
