Cork U 16 team defeated Tipperary in the Munster Championship “A” semi final in Clonmel also on Saturday afternoon to set up a Munster final meeting with old rivals Kerry on May 7th Goals from Kate Dennehy, Ava Looney and Captain Ciara McCarthy saw the Cork girls lead at half time 3-05 to 3 points and despite conceding two easy goals within a minute mid way through the second period they managed to win out on a scorline 4-09 to 2-06.
Kerry are a really well balanced experienced team having won the All Ireland Title at U 14 two years ago and have all ready beaten the Cork girls earlier this year but if Cork can hold a proper structure, play as a unit and give a good supply of ball to the inside forward line it could be a very interesting final with the Lee side ladies in with a real chance.
