Junior Ladies
The Junior team contested their last County fixture against Ballinora and despite the poor playing conditions the ladies put in a great effort. Unfortunately on this occasion it was not enough with Ballinora winning out on a score like of 2-05 to 0-6. Junior Ladies fixtures are complete for this year but we are in the process of organising our Junior 7’s competition with a provisional date of Saturday, October 17th.

Fiona and Sarah Murphy were part of the Midleton team who were defeated in their East Cork Quarter Final by Watergrasshill.

Our girls will be contesting East Cork Championship Semi-Final against St Colmans. Date and time to be confirmed

Our U12 panel worked hard all year and put everything they had into their final outing in the East Cork Championship semi-final on Wednesday evening but unfortunately it was not to be our day. We were beaten by a strong Midleton side and we wish them all the best in the final. Our girls can hold their heads high as they never gave up and worked hard as a team from 1-20. They are a fantastic group of girls and will no doubt have success in the future. We are so proud of the progress they have made this year. We would like to thank the parents for bringing the girls training and also coming to support us regardless of the weather. Thanks also to the trainers for the great work they have done with the girls. U12 matches are now complete but we have u10/U14 semi-finals awaiting so there is plenty for our girls to be positive about.

The girls have improved greatly over the course of their league matches and all their hard work paid off when they defeated Glanmire in the East Cork Semi-Final 2-3 to 1-1 on Friday evening in Glanmire. They will now contest the final versus Midleton on October 3rd in Youghal at 3pm. Well done all involved.

The girls have one last game of the season to play. Once fixed, we will post details of same.

Our local youth club is after re-opening this year – 1st outing this Friday night to the cinema. New members welcome once they have started secondary school and once they are living in the parish or a member of a local organisation ie ladies football, juvenile club.

The club would like to congratulate our Juvenile Club on their recent East Region and Championship victories.

We look forward to the new GAA Development being opened in the very near future – progress is looking good.
