Aghada Ladies’ Football Notes

U 14 Girls

Aghada U 14 girls defeated a good Inch Rovers side to reach the final of the “A” section of the East Cork league where they will meet Glanmire. This game will be played later in the summer as the attention now switches to the county championship.

The Aghada girls made a winning start to this championship and advanced to the semi final stages when they defeated Mourneabby last Friday night in mid summer like conditions in Rostellan. Mourneabby could do nothing to stop the Aghada Girls who played the best game so far this year putting up an impressive score of 4-13.Thanks to all the ladies who put on a great spread for both teams after the match. Aghada now meet Bantry who have already defeated them in the qualifiers of the county Féile competition but that was a sprint and who knows what will happen over the course of the hour. This game will probably be nextFriday night June 6th  venue to be announced.
