LISGOOLD LEAMLARA LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB

On Sunday the 25th of October we held our Phil McCarthy Shield Junior 7s Competition. It was fantastic to see 60 girls out playing football on a Bank Holiday weekend. We see this competition as a great way to promote ladies football and help teams finish off their season on a high. Teams competing were Carrigtwohill, Cobh, Erin’s Own, Lisgoold/Leamlara, Midleton and Youghal. There were some fantastic games on the day and some of the younger squads really excelled. It was great the see the teams encouraging and supporting each other. The skills, fighting spirit and never give up attitude of the teams was to be commended. Refreshments were also served on the day so players and mentors alike could sit down have a chat and mingle with other clubs. Congratulations to Midleton who were the Winners for 2015. They played some incredible football. Thank you to everyone who gave up their time to be there and help out the club with this tournament; without you it would be impossible to run so successfully. Thank you to Barry Day and Niall Barrett who refereed for us this year. This wraps up our 2015 season for the Junior Ladies. We as a club are already looking forward to next year.

Our Annual Joint Social is on 14th November in Midleton Park Hotel and is now fully booked out.

Juvenile Club are running a Scrap Saturday on Saturday, November 7th across from Woods. Anyone with metal, copper etc that you want to get rid of, please drop to us. No white metal, washing machines, fridges etc, gas bottles or tyres.

Local Youth Club is open every Friday night in Lisgoold Community Centre from 8.00 to 10.00pm.
