Fermoy take intermediate County title in style.
A super last quarter saw the Ladies from Fermoy win the intermediate county championship when they defeated Rosscarbery 4-12 3-07 in Passage on Saturday evening A very large crowd basked in the glorious sunshine and they certainly got value for money as both sides played some wonderful football and it was hard to choose between them at the break. It was nip and tuck for the opening minutes of the second period but the Fermoy Ladies superior fitness showed in the end scoring a goal and some lovely points as they went on to take their first intermediate title and they now will represent Cork in the Munster championship early in October. Fermoy won the junior “A” county title last year so it has been a great couple of years for the girls from the banks of the Blackwater. Well done to all concerned.
