County League Division 4C Semi-Final

Bride Rovers 6-9    Bandon 3-6

Our opening Junior C championship fixture at Kildorrery last Wednesday night did not go so well when we were comprehensively beaten by the home side. However, we bounced back to form on Saturday night when we had a good win at home to Bandon in the county league semi-final. The girls showed great commitment from the start and took some fantastic scores while also defending well and limited Bandon’s attempts at goals.

Heavy rain in the second half made playing conditions difficult but we made light of that to run out winners by 12 points at the final whistle. Erins Own await us in the county league final, time and date to be decided, but the next game for this group of players is the East Cork Junior B championship semi-final against Fermoy on Friday, July 10th.

Match Panel : Madison Parle, Sarah O Flynn, Aine Cashman, Maria O Sullivan, Niamh Murphy, Evelyn Collins, Trish O Sullivan, Rachel O Callaghan (1-0), Laura Quirke (1-3), Emma Barry, Colette Hogan (0-2), Meeks Carr (0-1), Elaine Culloty (2-2), Imelda Dorgan (2-1), Laura Pratt, Yris Bloemhoff
