Large Turnout for East Cork AGM
East Cork Ladies’ Football Annual General Meeting for 2014 took place on Wednesday night, 10th December, in Carrigtwohill Community Centre.
The Secretary, Phillip Harrington gave a detailed account of the activities of the board for 2014. He thanked all the clubs for their assistance and congratulated the clubs who won East Cork titles and also the clubs that won county titles during the year.
The Treasurer, Tina Lotty gave a very detailed account of the finances of the running of the board.
The PRO, Barry Moran thanked the clubs that sent in reports and photographs for inclusion on the East Cork Ladies’ Football website. The site has gone from strength to strength with thousands of hits during the year and is now the main way of getting information on Ladies’ Football in East Cork.
The Chairman, Tom Goggin thanked the very large attendance for coming to the meeting and said it had been a very successful year for the board, organising over 35 competitions. He paid a special tribute to Arthur O’Leary who was stepping down as fixtures’ Secretary for 2015. Arthur has been involved with Ladies’ Football and the East Cork Board for over twenty years and has held many positions both in the East Cork Board and at county level. He was President of Cork County Ladies’ Football board in the not too distant past and Tom thanked him for his tremendous dedication to the sport of ladies’ football.
