Our U14’s were out today playing there 5rd of league. It was a home game for us but due to weather conditions killeagh pitch was unplayable so we were lucky enough to get the permission & really appreciate it to use the pobalscoil secondary school in youghal once again for our game to go ahead. Our captain today to lead out her team was Rose Goggin. Game got off to a great start for our girls to get the first score on the scoreboard from our corner forward Meagan Murphy. Midleton fought hard to get the ball up the field but Inch ladies were very determined to hold procession and kept tipping away some great scores from our forwards Kelly Steele, Meagan Murphy, Shannon Cremin and our corner back Aoife Higgins who soled up the field with great confidence to score a fantastic point from play to bring the half time score to inchrvrs 3-10 to Midleton 0-0. when we spoke to the girls at half time we needed them to keep focus as we knew midleton would not go down without a fight to win this game. Also our captain Rose Goggin made a very confident speech to girl’s to keep the heads up, don’t give up and keep plugging along and take your scores if you have the chance. Second half we started well and midleton tried hard to gets scores but it was Inchrvrs day to keep getting some fantastic scores from Shannon Cremin, Rose Goggin, Meagan Murphy and a proud moment for our sub brought on Grainne Landers scoring a great goal from play. To bring the full time score to inchrvrs 5-12 to Midleton no score. It was a fantastic achievement from all panel 1 to 22 today.
