Carrigtwohill Ladies Football Social Dinner Dance 2014

Last Saturday (8th of Feb) the Carrigtwohill Ladies football Club held their social dinner dance in the Vienna Woods Hotel. The main focus of the night was the medal presentation to the Fé 14 and Fé 16 team who won the U14 East Championship and U16 East Cork League.

Tomás Googin Chairman of the East Cork Ladies Football Board presented the medals to the Fé 14 team, while Aoife McCarthy and Rachel Sheehan presented the medals to the Fé 16 team.

Presentations  were made to players Ciara Breenan (U14 Cork), Rachel Sheehan (Minor) and selector Aoife McCarthy (U14) involved in the Cork County teams in 2013.

After the presentations the serious business of dancing was set in motion.

Referees (Grab Your Whistle Course)

East Cork Ladies’ Football Board will hold a fundamental referees training course (Grab Your Whistle) for all budding referees on March 1st & 2nd 2014

This course is open to both girls and boys over the age of 16 and will be run by experienced instructors appointed by Croke Park.Ladies football is one of the fastest growing sports in Ireland and we urgently require energetic, knowledgeable and qualified people to take charge of our games.

It is in the interest of every club to have a number of qualified referees in their ranks so please try and encourage some of your club members to participate.

The cost is  €20.

Date is the 1st and 2nd of March at an East Cork venue to be announced.

All Fé 14 and Fé 16 games are currently set for  Sunday @ 3pm. This may change with agreement between the relevant managers. Managers will notify the teams for confirmed dates, time and venue.

Training:

1.Fé 14: Friday 5:30 to 6:30 pm Community Hall

2.Intermediate\Juniors\Minor\U21\U16: Sunday 12 noon @ All Weather pitch  venue.

3.Fé 12: Selectors will notify players of time and venue.

4.Fé 10: Friday 6:30 to 7:30 pm Community Hall
