U14 Football

Sunday, February 2nd, Pynes

East Cork U14 League

Bride Rovers 1-7               Rockban 3-2

Pynes must have been one of very few pitches playable last Sunday for the club’s first match of 2014 and held up remarkably well in the circumstances. This match was one we could well have won but we conceded some goals at crucial times and that cost us the league points in the end. Our girls displayed their normal courage and determination in very testing ground conditions and victory would have been ours if we enjoyed just a little more luck in front of goals as we had the lion’s share of possession throughout. Well done to all the players and let’s hope for better luck in the next fixture away to Midleton on February 16th.

Match panel : Bronagh Cleary, Sarah Geaney, Emily Larkin, Caoimhe O’Sullivan, Cliona Kearney, Anna Murray, Fiona Barry, Andrea Quinn O’Donovan, Aislinn O’Connor, Rachael O’Flynn, Sarah Murphy, Aoife Cowman, Siobhan O’Sullivan, Emma Barry, Caoimhe Hazelwood, Lucy Hicks, Katie Quirke.
