Cloyne Ladies Football club held a very successful mini Summer Camp on 26th and 27th of July which saw 56 girls of all ages being put through their paces. We were privileged to have the talents of some great coaches that included the likes of Orlagh Farmer and Valerie Mulcahy, two great Cork Senior players. Along with the girls we had Liam Shorten, Tim Lordan, Des Golden and Jim Moynighan. A big thanks to Jim for securing the majority of the coaches for us and for all the preparation that went into organising the training schedules.
On Sunday afternoon we finished off with a “Family Fun Day” which included events like the long kick, penalty shoot-out, obstacle course, colouring, face painting by Sarah, Bouncy Castle kindly supplied by “East Cork Bouncy Castles”. We had matches with all the age groups with the final game from the Gaelic4Mothers & Others squad.
Thanks to Sean Murray who supplied the music for the day and to “MC Mairead”. Thanks to all the parents who baked a fantastic display of buns and cakes! Thanks to all the parents and committee members who helped out for the 3 days and a big thanks to all the players who participated and made it such a success.
