Cork U14 Ladies Football

Congratulations to club players Grace Culloty and Emma Barry who were part of the Cork panel who won the All-Ireland U14A final on Saturday, June 22nd in Templemore, defeating Kildare by 3-15 to 1-6. This was a very proud day for the club and thanks to all the supporters from the parish who travelled to Templemore on the day to support the girls. It’s great for the girls to represent their county in big matches like this but they acknowledge that it wouldn’t have happened without the help and support from trainers, team-mates and everyone involved with Bride Rovers Ladies Football and Camogie Club since they joined a few years ago as U8s.

The match itself was hard-fought and was only decided in the final quarter when Cork scored their 3 goals to gain a comfortable win in the end. Well done to all the players and mentors.

Senior/Junior Ladies Football

Preparations continue for upcoming senior and junior championships and we travelled over the border to play Ballyduff in a friendly match last Wednesday and recorded another win. This was followed by another trip to Midleton on Monday, June 24 which saw a fantastic turnout of 25 players and a good run-out for all involved.
