YOUGHAL V ST. NICKS 

CARRIGTWOHILL 22ND SEPT

History was made this day as newly formed ladies football club St. Nicks lined out in their first final of their first year in existence. The U-10 squad is the only team they have at present but I’m they will have many more on the back of their first year. Although the result didn’t go their way they showed great skill and determination on the field, never gave up and kept plugging away to the final whistle, well done girls.

Credit too to Youghal who put in a great performance to take the title. Youghal too are a young club this being only their second year running but already with a couple of titles to their credit. One could sense with the support at the match that Youghal football club will be a force to be reckoned with in the future if they continue as they are.

Well done to both sides for an entertaining game of football and congrtulations to Youghal on their win.
