On Saturday 19th of May two G4M&O teams from Cloyne and Mayfield travelled to Dublin to participate in half time games of the the National League Finals. Unfortunately the half time games did not take place due to “apparent” poor pitch conditions in Parnell Park. However a mini blitz was organised which took place in another venue in Clontarf. Mayfield and Cloyne, Who were not meant to play each other, took to the field for the final game. This was played in the true ethos of the G4M&O and fitting that it ended all square (although no scores are kept it was easy count them!!) Both clubs were commended by representatives from Croke Park with the spirit in which we played, ie, for fun and enjoyment of the sport!!

It was with disappointment that we had to see our Senior County team relinquish their title to a determined Monaghan side but it did not deter both clubs from enjoying their day. Both clubs shared a bus to and from Dublin and true to say that a few friendships were made by the time we arrived home that night!!
