Féile Qualifiers
Our U14s took part in this year’s Féile qualifying tournamenr held in Fermoy oin Bank Holiday Monday. They met 3 established teams from East Cork, Inch Rovers, Erins Own & Glanmire and even though narrowly beaten in all 3 games they gave an outstanding performance over all 3 games. No doubt these games will definitely stand to the girls over their remaining league games and the championship. Next up for the girls are Watergrasshill and Na Piarsaig. Training continues each Saturday @ 11:30am and any girl born 1998 & 1999 are welcome to join.
U12 Girls
Our U12s had their first league game on Sunday 25th when they traveled to Lisgoold where they put up a great performance going down on a 1-2 to 3-2 scoreline over the hour. Next up is the visit of Midleton to Magners Hill on Saturday 31st @ 2pm. Training time for this team is every Saturday @ 10:30am and any girl born in 2000 & 2001 are welcome to join.
U10s & U8s Girls
The U10s will commence their league on or before April 14th with an away trip to Rockban. Other teams in their league are Aghada, Carrigtwohill, Erins Own, Glanmire, Inch Rovers and Mayfield. The U8s will be involbved in a number of Blitzs over the coming months. Both of these teams train @ 10:30am each Saturday and any girl born from 2002 – 2005 are welcome to join.
Juniors
The Junior team will take part in the 13 a-side league competing against the following teams Ardfield, Bandon, Banteer, Clan na Gael, Lisgoold, Macroom and Mayfield. Training takes place every Monday & Wednesday @ 7:30pm and all welcome. They commence their league campaign next Sunday April 1st away against Mayfield @ 5pm. Best of luck girls.
Easter Peil Camp
The camp is now closed with over 50 signed up. The Camp will take place in Youghal GAA club during the Easter Holidays from Tuesday April 10th until Friday the 13th.
“Your Mental Health Is your Wealth”
The Club are behind the scenes working hard on a mental Health evening which is pencilled in for the 12th April at 7pm in the Hall. This event has many Topics for Discussion in the area to include Resilience, Nutrition and Alcohol. All are invited including clubs, organizations and parents from Youghal and surrounding areas.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Many thanks to all members who turned up and represented the Club in this year’s parade and to the parents commitee who helped out at the party and disco afterwards. We were delighted to win Best Juvenile Club along with Eochaill Óg.
