The meeting was well attended once again with extra delegates from re-formed club Cobh and a special welcome to the delegates from new club Na Piarsaigh, we wish them well for the year ahead!!
Business got under way with results from U-14 league games. Many fell victim to weather and pitches been closed.
It was highlighted that not all results are being sent in as they should be. This needs to be rectified and urge all clubs to send results, win or lose, to the secretary Philip Harrington as games have been played.
Draws for the remainder rounds for U-14 and U-16 were handed out to delegates and will be updated under fixtures ASAP
The groupings for the U-12’s and U-10’s were handed out also with the first round of the U-12’s fixed for the weekend of 7/8th of April and 14/15th of april for the U-10’s
A new league for U-8’s is to be trialled this year and it is hoped to run this off over 6 weekends in the summer. “Fun Games” will be the emphasis with these leagues with no scores being kept and we hope all clubs will get behind this initiative.
Qualifiers for County Feile will take place on the weekend of March 3rd for East Cork teams. There is now 11 clubs who have expressed an interest in this. Venues are what is required now so if any club is interested in holding (2 fields preferable) please contact Philip
The East Cork Junior final between Bride Rover’s and Midleton has been fixed for Friday 17th of February with time and venue to be announced
